MIDLAND - One man is dead following a wreck in Midland County on Friday night.
Midland Police say, 54-year-old Dale Stevens of Mayer, Arizona, was driving a white Ford pickup southbound on Midkiff Road when he struck the guardrail and veered into oncoming traffic on the overpass.
Stevens collided head-on with a white Ford four door car headed northbound on Midkiff Road.
Stevens died at the scene.
The female driver of the northbound car was transported to Midland Memorial Hospital along with a baby who was in the vehicle.
The baby's condition has worsened and the child is now in critical condition. The 18-month old's mother remains in critical condition.
The overpass at Midkiff and Interstate 20 was closed for over two hours while crews investigated.
