CARLSBAD, N.M. - A Carlsbad mother is furious after her three year old son was attacked by a bobcat.
It happened on Monday at the Living Desert Zoo and Gardens State Park.
According to the Carlsbad Current-Argus, Courtney Kennedy and her brother took the boy over to the bobcat exhibit where she claims they stayed behind the double safety barrier.
Kennedy says she looked away for a few seconds and that's when the bobcat ripped the boy out of her arms and had his head in its mouth.
The boy was taken to the hospital with cuts near his eye.
Carlsbad Police say they were told the trio was in harm's way when it happened and that the boy's injuries were minor.
