ODESSA - A crash into a telephone pole is what ended a chase down West County Road on Wednesday morning.

Odessa Police say Andrew Johnson of Odessa was running from authorities.

Johnson was driving so fast that he lost control at 13th Street and veered off the road and ran into the pole.

No one was injured but the road was shut down.

It's since been reopened.

Johnson was ticketed for failure to control speed among other charges.

No word on what started the chase.
