CARLSBAD, N.M. - The Carlsbad Police Association is determined to get the mayor booted from office.
You'll remember last week they sent a statement saying they have "no confidence" in Carlsbad, New Mexico, Mayor Dale Janway.
On Monday night, they sent us examples of what they call proof of the mayor's abuse of power.
They say Janway has told them to leave certain citizens alone even though they were violating health codes.
In another instance, they say they were called out to a local bar for loud music. However, when the mayor found out, Janway reportedly told officers to stay away from the bar.
The Police Association says these are facts and not rumors.
The complaints have also been sent to the office of the New Mexico Attorney General.
