Man Facing Numerous Charges After Mobile Home Fire in Hobbs, New Mexico

HOBBS, N.M. - A strange scene at a mobile home fire in Hobbs.

Police say 49-year-old Tracy Carpnter yelled at them and even pretended he had a gun when they showed up.

According to the affidavit, Carpnter's trailer was engulfed in flames.

Police were able to get him into a patrol car but say he started hitting his head against the window when asked about the fire.

No word on how it started.

Carpnter is charged with evading arrest, obstructing police and for an outstanding warrant.
