MIDLAND COUNTY - Two thieves on the run since last December are now answering to the law.
Midland County Sheriff's officials arrested Jose Morin and Vanessa Castellanos this week for an alleged robbery at the Wal-Mart on West Interstate 20 last year.
According court documents, a Midland County deputy was eating at the Wal-Mart when he was told there was a fight at the door.
The confrontation was between Morin, the alleged thief, and security.
The deputy was able to chase Morin to his getaway car and began trying to put the car in park.
The deputy claims his passenger, Vanessa Castellanos, was clawing at him in an effort to stop him.
The deputy was able to get Morin out of the car and in handcuffs but Castellanos got away.
According to the Midland Reporter Telegram, Morin's charges were dropped in January but were recently re-filed.
Both Morin and Castellanos now face a laundry list of charges including robbery, evading and assault on a public servant.
