MIDLAND - Major changes could soon be coming to the old courthouse in downtown Midland.
On Wednesday, Mayor Wes Perry announced there's a strong possibility a new development may replace it.
Details are still very limited at this time but he says the cost of repairing the interior is likely more money than taxpayers will want to spend on a project like that.
The City Council will consider authorizing the purchase of the property next Monday and could enter into a development agreement to explore redevelopment of the site.
Some items discussed could include a five star hotel, Class "A" Office Space, retail, residential space and an entertainment center in the downtown area.
