CARLSBAD, N.M. - Police in Carlsbad, New Mexico, are not happy with their mayor and now they're asking for his resignation.
The city's Police Officer Association sent out a press release on Monday morning stating they have "no confidence" in Mayor Dale Janway.
Last week, members took a vote and unanimously decided that in addition to his resignation they would also ask for a full investigation into his conduct.
In the release, they say he has abused his power and is unfit to serve.
They also accuse him of asking that tickets be dismissed simply because he knows the defendants.
