Two Vehicle Wreck Shuts Down I-20 For A Short Time

Staff Report
NewsWest 9

MIDLAND COUNTY - A two car accident briefly shut down part of Interstate 20 on Saturday afternoon.

The accident happened around 1:30 p.m. about a mile from Loop 250 in Midland.

DPS officials tell NewsWest 9, a Volvo was heading westbound on I-20. The driver was following too closely to another car so they veered left but then went into a spin, came across the median and hit a Dodge Ram going eastbound.

The truck rolled four times but luckily the woman driving the truck only had minor injuries. She was taken to Midland Memorial Hospital to be checked out.

The driver of the Volvo was ticketed for failure to control speed.
