BREWSTER COUNTY - New information has been released regarding a human skeleton found in Brewster County last week.
Investigators say it is a man and they believe he might have been killed smuggling drugs.
The Sheriff's Office was given information by U.S. Marshals about a possible murder back in December.
They were told by a federal prisoner that it happened near Cox Ranch which covers parts of Brewster and Pecos Counties.
The search for the body was called off in Brewster after the inmate said it was closer to Pecos County.
The Sheriff's Office is hoping to bring that prisoner back to the area to help figure out if the body that was found was the man he said was killed.
