Lea County Authorities Make Heroin Bust by Monitoring Phone Calls

LEA COUNTY, N.M. - Authorities in Lea County were able to make a heroin bust at their prison over the weekend, all by monitoring phone calls.

44-year-old Yepa Emma is accused of trying to smuggle the drugs in to her boyfriend 34-year-old inmate Johan Neaman.

We're told Emma admitted to having about nine grams of heroin on her after officers stopped her during her prison visit on Saturday.

She is now facing felony charges for the failed smuggling attempt.
