BIG SPRING - Another Big Spring resident is throwing their hat in the ring in the race for Mayor.
According to our media partners at KBYG Radio, former City Councilman Manuel Ramirez filed as a candidate on Friday.
He joins candidates Larry McLellan and Rodger Rodman in the Mayoral competition.
Friday was the last day to file as a candidate for the May 11th elections
Neither incumbent Mayor Tommy Duncan or incumbent District Five City Councilman Craig Olson chose to run for a second term.
In District Five, Clint Collins and Raul Benavides will face off at the polls.
Those are the only two positions available for this City Council election.
