WEST ODESSA - A motorcyclist is dead after a crash with an SUV on Saturday evening.
The accident happened on FM 1936 and Dunn Street in West Odessa.
DPS Troopers say a Ford SUV was northbound on FM 1936 and tried to turn into the Stripes convenience store.
That's when witnesses say the motorcyclist, 18-year-old Aaron Salazar, who was heading southbound on FM 1936, accelerated and hit the back end of the SUV.
Salazar was pronounced dead at the scene and we're told the family of the victim was on scene.
No one else was hurt.
