ODESSA - One man is behind bars after allegedly beating his common law wife.
Odessa Police arrested 39-year-old Mark Moya.
Moya wasn't supposed to come near her since she had a protective order against him.
The victim says Moya went to their home, beat her, dragged her by her hair and hit her with several objects.
At one point, she says he even poured mouthwash in her eyes.
He then flashed a kitchen knife at her saying he would kill her to "earn a reason to go back to prison."
