ODESSA - An Odessa man accused of murdering a child will have to wait a while longer before going to trial.
27-year-old Ralph Martinez Junior's April court date has been pushed to October.
District Attorney Bobby Bland said that the decision was made because it takes about two months to try capital murder cases.
Martinez is charged with the death of five-year-old Zachary Dominguez back in 2011.
Dominguez died at Medical Center Hospital from several injuries including burn marks and open sores.
The boy's mother, 29-year-old Kimberly Moore, was also charged with the crime.
