MIDLAND - He's accused of beating a man with a two-by-four and smashing one of the victim's fingers off.
Now a trial date has been set for April first for 40-year-old Manuel Cuellar.
The victim claims he got into an argument with Cuellar and one of Cuellar's friends.
He says he didn't know either one of them.
The victim says he walked off and the pair followed him into a dark area between two homes and attacked.
The victim had severe wounds.
One of his fingers was taken off with the two-by-four.
