ODESSA - A 14-year-old boy took officers in Odessa on a wild ride on Friday morning.
Around 8 a.m., police were told about a stolen SUV that was being followed by the person who owned it.
Officers caught up to the teen around Laredo and Terlingua but they lost sight of him.
A sheriff's deputy later spotted the SUV and tried to stop him but the driver kept going.
They weren't going very fast though, they were only going about 45 miles per hour.
They eventually stopped the teen on North Texas Street.
He was arrested for evading police and stealing a car.
