Ector County Sheriff Shares New Details About Death of Adopted Russian Boy

GARDENDALE - NewsWest 9 has learned some new details regarding the death of a three year old adopted Russian boy.
Ector County Sheriff Mark Donaldson says Laura Shatto was outside in the yard of her Gardendale home watching Max and his other brother play when she then decided to go back into the home "for a bit of time" and then returned to the yard where she discovered Max to be unresponsive.
NewsWest 9 asked if it looked as though Max was involved in an accident, the sheriff declined to comment.
Laura Shatto reportedly called 911 after she found Max to be unresponsive. An ambulance arrived shortly thereafter.
Max later died at Medical Center Hospital.
Autopsy results on Max Shatto are still pending.
Max's death has sparked international outrage especially in Russia, where the media has been making sensational claims against the boy's parents.
