A man who was hurt in a deadly Odessa wreck on Sunday is getting better. 56-year-old Dale Piper is now in serious condition. He was rushed to the hospital after a car crashed into a utility pole on North Tripp.

WEST ODESSA - A man who was hurt in a deadly Odessa wreck on Sunday is getting better.

56-year-old Dale Piper is now in serious condition.

He was rushed to the hospital after a car crashed into a utility pole on North Tripp.

Authorities say 51-year-old Scott Thomas Sommers was driving when he suddenly left the road.

He then overcorrected and crashed into the pole.
