More Details Released Regarding the Death of an Adopted Child From Russia

ECTOR COUNTY - The Ector County Sheriff's Office and the Medical Examiners office has released some new details in connection with the death of three year old Max Shatto.

We're told that on January 21, just before 5 p.m., Ector County deputies were called out to the emergency room at Medical Center Hospital.

The child (Shatto) died at the hospital.

An investigation was started by the Sheriff's Office and the investigation revealed that the child (Shatto) had been adopted from Russia.

Shatto's body was transported to Tarrant County for an autopsy and the results are still pending.

No arrests have been made in connection with this case.

NewsWest 9 has also spoken with the Ector County Medical Examiner's Office and they tell NewsWest 9 that Max Shatto did have some bruising on his body but it is unknown if the bruising was related to his death. Medical Examiners say they will not know much more information until the autopsy is complete.
