ODESSA - Some furry felines looking for a loving family now have a place to call their own even if it's just a temporary home.
On Saturday morning, the Humane Society of Odessa cut the ribbon on their new cat rescue shelter.
The Lucky Paws Tree House has been in the works for about a year and can house 125 cats and it also has a room for kittens.
The building is bigger with more room for the four legged friends to play around in.
We're told the Humane Society has taken in more cats in recent months.
The new shelter came along with funding by the Emma Barnsley Foundation.
