ODESSA - Love shouldn't hurt. That's the message students at Odessa High School were spreading by wearing purple on Friday.
The color purple is to raise awareness about teen dating violence.
The school is hoping that with presentations and education students will learn to recognize the difference between abuse and real love.
"It's so prevalent in our country and it's an epidemic in Texas but they need to know what it looks like, what it feels like, what it sounds like. Is it really love?" ECISD Volunteer, Renee Morris, said.
We're told young people ages 16 to 24 are at the highest risk for unhealthy relationships.
