Good news for Texas high school students.
Lawmakers could be slashing the number of standardized tests that students have to pass for graduation.
Right now, the current test, also known as the STAAR test features 15 core-subject exams.
But that's caused a backlash against what many say is over-testing.
The Education Commissioner announced on Tuesday that the state legislature will have a conversation on reducing that number.
