Man Hit By Car in Odessa in Stable Condition

ODESSA - Police say a transient who was hit by a car over the weekend is in stable condition.

Officers were patrolling in the area of the 300 block of South Grant Avenue when they witnessed a pedestrian walking eastbound. Officers say they saw the man walk into the path of a 2008 Dodge Charge, traveling northbound on Grant Avenue.

The pedestrian, identified as 49-year-old James Hickson was transported to Medical Center Hospital where he was listed in stable condition.

No citation was issued to Hickson.
