Armed suspect steals lottery tickets from convenience store

An armed suspect makes off with a safe drop and lottery tickets after thrusting a knife in the face of an Amarillo convenience store clerk.

Amarillo police responded to a call just after 7:00 Sunday morning on reports of an armed robbery at the Toot-N-Totum at 4224 SW 34th Avenue. The female clerk says the suspect entered the store holding a knife and demanded money. She showed him that the register was empty, so he walked to the end of the counter, grabbed an undisclosed amount of lottery tickets and a safe drop from the clerk before leaving the store. There were no injuries in this incident.

That suspect is being described as a while male, 6'0'' tall, weighing about 225 pounds, wearing black face mask, a bright orange T-shirt over a blue hoodie, jeans, white tennis shows and white or tan gloves.
