Man Facing Several Charges After Being Arrested at Odessa College

ODESSA - One man was arrested after he was caught stumbling around the Odessa College campus.

Odessa College Police arrested Chad Dean.

The officer noticed that dean was drinking a Four Loko, which is an alcoholic energy drink, and stopped him.

Dean told the officer that he was walking home and that he might have outstanding warrants.

When the officer called for back-up, Dean tried to escape but he ran into another officer.

Dean was then patted down and the officers found a six inch piece of steel attached to a lanyard which dean claimed he only used for defense and pot paraphernalia.

Odessa Police charged Dean with felony possession of a weapon in a prohibited place, public intoxication, paraphernalia possession and evading on foot.
