ODESSA - Odessa Police need help finding the crook that tried to steal parts from a car dealership.
Around 10 p.m. Wednesday night, a night watchman at Pete's Auto Sales heard a noise.
He found a guy trying to pull parts from an SUV.
When the security guard confronted him, the would-be thief hit him with a metal auto part then the two struggled.
The thief managed to get loose and ran away.
The watchman's injuries were only minor but the criminal caused about $1,500 in damage to the SUV.
