MIDLAND - Six people, including a former Odessa police officer, have been indicted on drug charges.

According to the U.S. Attorney's Office, 38-year-old Jackie Thompson and five others have been charged for trafficking meth.

The indictment says they sold the drugs from January of last year to January of this year.

Thompson was arrested in a sting last month.

At a recent detention hearing, a special agent with the Drug Enforcement Agency claims through wiretapping that they heard Thompson make several drug deals.

At one point, the agent says Thompson confessed to dealing.

The others arrested include 36-year-old Jesse Rodriguez, 24-year-old Isai Ramirez, 45-year-old Jaime Castillo, 26-year-old Douglas Lewis and 48-year-old Ernest McCarty.
