MIDLAND - A Midland Junior High teacher is behind bars after a student said she touched him inappropriately.

It turns out; the boy says it happened while he was staying over at her house.

Jennifer Oneill, a teacher at Goddard Junior High in Midland, was arrested on Tuesday after being charged with improper relationship between educator and student.

According to the affidavit, the investigation began at the end of January when Goddard's assistant principal told Midland Police she believed O'neill and the student were having a relationship.

The student, who is 13, was interviewed by police and admitted to the relationship and told police it happened while he was spending the night at her house.

Oneill was also interviewed and she told police the boy touched her.

An arrest warrant was issued and she was arrested and later bonded out of jail.

NewsWest 9 looked up Goddard Junior High School's website and Oneill is no longer listed as a teacher there.
