ECTOR COUNTY - An Ector County Grand Jury has no billed an Ector County Sheriff's Office deputy after shooting a man back in October of 2012.

Officials tell NewsWest 9, Deputy Johnny Valdarez was involved in the shooting death of 66-year-old Marvin Donald Wilkerson.

As you may recall, officers were called out to the 4000 block of Uranus on October 31, 2012 after a call came in that Wilkerson was waving a silver gun around his home.

When Sheriff Mark Donaldson and deputy Johnny Valdarez arrived, they went around to the back of the home.

That's where they confronted 66-year-old Marvin Donald Wilkerson, who had the gun in his waistband.

Wilkerson then pulled out his gun, and according to officials, Valdarez fired at least one shot.
