MIDLAND - A former Midland School employee admitted in court on Friday that he stole from the district.

45-year-old Frank Carrasco was hired as the Operations Buyer at the school district's warehouse.

He admitted that he ordered extra copper wire and electrical wire and then sold it.

While he pocketed almost $50,000, all of that material actually cost the district almost $150,000.

This all happened between 2009 and 2012.

Carrasco will have to pay the district back and spend time in prison.
