ODESSA - A professor at the University of Texas of the Permian Basin has two displays set up in honor of Black History Month.

Both displays are being presented by Doctor Joanna Hadjicostandi, a Sociology Professor at the University.

"People Without History Have No Future" shows a series of artifacts and information from Africa and the U.S. that relate to African American community experiences.

"The Legacy of the Late Mrs. Arlene Campbell" is a tribute to the well-known Odessa educator. There are items that represent her history of community contributions.

The displays are expected to stay in the mesa building throughout the month of February.
