MIDLAND - A Midland woman got into hot water with police when she became violent with a family member early Wednesday morning.
Officers were called out to a disturbance at a home in the 500 block of Madison around 3 a.m.
When they got to the house, they found 24-year-old Brittly Lott screaming at a young woman.
Authorities took Lott aside and she told them that she wanted her cousin to stop selling drugs out of the house and that she was the one who called them.
She also said that her cousin had punched her in the face
When officers spoke to the couple, they got a different story.
They said they had been arguing, woke Lott up and she just went off on them.
Her cousin claimed that he only hit Lott because she started swinging at him.
At one point, she even threatened them with a steak knife which cops found behind their TV.
Lott is facing charged of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
