CROSS PLAINS, TX - A Midland man and two others were killed in a fatal crash not far from Abilene.
State Troopers tell NewsWest 9, 41-year-old Kevin Byrnes from Midland veered off the road in Cross Plains, Texas.
Byrnes overcorrected to get back on the road and swerved into oncoming traffic.
He slammed head-on into a pickup causing both vehicles to burst into flames.
The pickup driver, Byrnes and his passenger, 26-year-old Brittany Underwood from Goldsmith, died at the scene.
A passenger in the pickup survived and was taken to an Abilene hospital.
