ODESSA - A former Odessa officer won't be allowed back out on the streets.

On Wednesday, a federal judge denied releasing Jackie Thompson on bond calling him a danger to the community.

Thompson is accused of dealing meth.

During the hearing on Monday morning, a special agent with the Drug Enforcement Agency testified at his hearing.

The agent claims through wiretapping, they heard Thompson make several drug deals where he bought five to ten pounds of the illegal drug.

Thompson has also reportedly admitted to using meth.

Thompson's family was in the courtroom but they declined to speak with NewsWest 9.
