ECTOR COUNTY - You may soon be paying more to stay in a hotel in Ector County.
Ector County Commissioners approved amending a resolution to let them impose a hotel motel tax.
It now includes hotels inside the city limits.
A bill is being introduced in the state legislature to allow Ector County to have the option of imposing a two percent hotel occupancy tax.
The money would be used to help maintain the Ector County Coliseum.
This is an optional tax and the county doesn't not have to impose one if they don't want to.
