West Odessa VFD Receives New Truck Thanks to Forest Service Grant

WEST ODESSA - Local volunteer firefighters have a new tool in their garage.

Thanks to a Forest Service grant, the West Odessa Volunteer Fire Department was able to buy a new truck.

The truck is especially made to fight brush fires and can also be used to fight structure fires when needed.

The truck comes equipped with a 1,000 gallon tank and can fire off 200 gallons per minute.
