The Kermit man who was shot by an officer last Friday is now in jail.
Witnesses say that Chad Weaver got into an argument with a police officer on Robinson and Halley.
That's when the officer opened fire and hit Weaver in the torso.
Weaver was airlifted to Medical Center Hospital then to University Medical Center in Lubbock for surgery.
Weaver has since been released from the hospital.
He is now being held at the Lubbock County Jail.
He's facing charges of aggravated assault on a peace officer.
