Midland Man Indicted on Child Pornography Charges

MIDLAND - A Midland man facing child pornography charges will be arraigned in court next week.

Jose Rangel was indicted on Wednesday by a federal grand jury in Midland.

He's charged with having and distributing child porn.

During a search of his house, homeland security found eight child porn videos, two of them depicted 12-year-olds having sex.

During the investigation, Rangel claimed he downloaded the child porn on accident.

If convicted, Rangel faces up to 25 years in prison.
