Shots Fired Call in Odessa Leads to Three Arrests

ODESSA - Odessa Police arrested three people Tuesday night on several charges, including possession of a firearm and possession of drug paraphernalia.

It all started when police got a shots fired call in the 5200 block of Conley Avenue just after 7:30 Tuesday night. Several shots were reportedly coming from the area of 5212 Conley Avenue.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found three people at the home. They are identified as 24-year-old Julian Resendes, 21-year-old Kelly Resendes, and 22-year-old Seth Bird.

Julian Resendes told officers that a white colored vehicle drove down the alley and fired several rounds.

During the investigation officers smelled a strong odor of marijuana. Officers also saw a firearm magazine clip and were told that there were firearms inside the home.

A search warrant was executed and the U.S. Marshals arrived on the scene to assist in the investigation. Several firearms, ammunition, and drug paraphernalia were seized.

All three subjects were arrested.

Julian Resendes was transported to the federal detention center in Midland. Kelly Resendes and Seth Bird were transported to the Ector County Detention Center.
