Eunice Man Killed in Weekend Accident in New Mexico

A Eunice man died at the scene of a car crash in New Mexico on Sunday.

The accident happened around 7 a.m. when 20-year-old Felix Covarrubias-Mercado was driving south on State Road 248.

He then started drifting to one side of the road and hit a fence that was made out of tree posts.

Authorities say that driver inattention and not wearing a seatbelt were factors in the accident.
