ODESSA - After more than a three week search to replace Gary Gaines, the Ector County School District finally found their man.
Blake Feldt was approved by the school board as Permian's next football coach on Friday afternoon.
Feldt is no stranger to the Permian Basin, he's a Midland High graduate and a former assistant coach with the Bulldogs in the late 1990s.
He's well experienced as a head coach coaching 13 seasons at Breckenridge, Pilot Point and most recently at Hays Consolidated.
Feldt also won a 2A state championship with Pilot Point back in 2009.
