40-year-old Craig Harrell is being charged with assault family violence after witnesses told police that he pulled his girlfriend out of her car, beat her up and choked her.
It happened around 6:30 p.m. Saturday night on the 3500 block of Stanolind.
Harrell took off before police arrived but he was found a short time later and was arrested.
