ODESSA - Police spent Monday afternoon looking for a missing man's body.
Authorities began searching in a field around Interstate 20 and Moss in Odessa.
Police were searching for Rene Sanchez. Sanchez was reported missing by his wife back in July of 2008.
Odessa Police Captain, Jessie Duarte, who is heading the search said the suspect in the case, 26-year-old Miguel Venegas told police that he possibly dumped Sanchez's body in the area but apparently he can't remember exactly where.
Authorities say they collected some items of clothing and some bones in the area but said it's nothing promising.
Over the weekend, police established probable cause to charge Venegas with murder. Police believe that Venegas was the last person to see Sanchez.
Authorities will be back in the area on Tuesday morning to continue their search.
