GAINES COUNTY - Four teens led police and deputies on a high speed chase from New Mexico into Texas.

It happened early in the morning on New Year's Day.

Hobbs Police saw a car almost side swipe another car near the Econo Lodge.

When they tried to pull the car over, it took off.

We're told the car was going about 80 miles an hour when it flew over the state line in Texas.

Gaines County deputies joined Hobbs Police in the chase.

After nearly an hour after the chase started, the teens were caught near a farm in Gaines County.

The 15 year old driver was arrested.

The other three teens, ages 14 and 15, were turned over to their parents who were ticketed for parental responsibility.
