MIDLAND - A Midland family has been displaced after their home was damaged by a fire on Monday.

Seven fire department units were called to the home on north Terrell Street around one p.m.

The fire started in the back of the home and made its way into the attic causing minimal smoke damage.

It's believed that a water heater is to blame but the cause is still being investigated.

The family is currently staying in temporary housing provided by the Red Cross.
