Odessa Woman Killed, Another Seriously Injured After Shooting in Odessa

ODESSA - An Odessa woman is dead and her son is in the hospital after they were shot on Monday night.

The shooting happened in the 300 block of South Dixie.

50 year-old Vanessa Davis was shot to death and her son, 20 year-old Andrew Thurman, was also found shot.

Thurman is currently listed in critical condition.

Both were in a car when the shooting happened.

Police have issued a warrant for 55-year-old L.C. Davis, Junior. He is the ex-husband of Vanessa Davis.

He's described by police as a black male, six feet tall, weighing 175 pounds.

He was last seen driving a gray or tan 2008 Chevy Avalanche with Texas license plate BM8-3120.

According to officers, his vehicle will most likely have front end damage.

Davis is considered armed and dangerous.
