MIDLAND - Keep Midland Beautiful is asking Midlanders to recycle right this year.
They have a few tips to help you figure out which items can be recycled and where to take them.
The public containers fill up pretty quickly during the holidays.
Make sure you don't put any recyclables outside the containers or you could risk getting a fine for littering.
All cardboard boxes need to be empty and flattened to save space in the containers.
Any packing materials should be taken to mailing stores.
Some items that cannot be recycled include wrapping paper, used paper plates and cups and most plastic food containers.
You can take your recyclables to containers at any Midland ISD elementary school, the Chaparral Center at Midland College or Grande Communications Stadium.
If you have a Christmas tree that needs to be recycled, you're asked to take them to Hogan Park.
If you have any questions, you can call Keep Midland Beautiful at 687-7400.
