MARFA - Teachers in Marfa are being given incentives to pack their things and quit their job.

On Monday, the Marfa School Board discussed eliminating six to eight teaching positions.

They say their budget isn't enough to hold on to all of their educators.

But they don't want teachers to leave on a bad note.

That's why they approved an incentive program for those that resign voluntarily.

Teachers that commit to leaving by February 15 will be rewarded with five percent of their yearly salary.
