A Hobbs teen is now waiting to see how long he'll spend in jail for killing an elderly woman.
A jury found 16-year-old Juan Rivas, Junior, guilty of stabbing 83-year-old Clara Alvarez to death.
Police found Alvarez with several stab wounds in her home last year after getting a call to check on her.
They later found Rivas driving around in the victim's car.
A video played in the courtroom on Thursday showing Rivas admitting to police he committed the crime.
His sentencing will take place sometime next month.
